Philips to Sell Mobile Phone Assets to CEC

CEC (China Electronics Corporation) and Royal Philips Electronics have entered an agreement, according to which CEC will be able to sell mobile phones under Philips' Xenium brand for the next five years and access some of Philips' mobile phone patents. Other items to be transferred to CEC include Philips' marketing network in certain countries and a 25% stake in Shenzhen Sangfei Consumer Communications.
